Polium One: Polium Introduces Its First NFT Game Console

The world's first NFT Game Console comes when Web 3 company Polium announces "Polium One", a new system that it claims will be the "world's first multi-chain game console" and aims to launch in Q3 2024.  

According to Kotaku and Mobile Syrup, the Polium One NFT Game Console is said to be able to run games built on different Blockchains and different programming languages.

The Polium One NFT Game Console claims to be “powerful enough to run high-performance games and easy to use for a traditional gamer who doesn't understand Web 3. No games have been announced, although the company claims they are currently talking to the developers. 

It is reported that only four people have worked to create a functional prototype for the Polium One NFT Game Console and controller to have functionality by the end of the year. Nfts - Allegedly, it will somehow be able to run 8K HDR, 120fps, and include ray tracing. 

The Polium One NFT Game Console’s controller will reportedly include a fingerprint scanner for security, as well as a 'wallet' button to give players quick access to the console's multi-chain wallet designed for trading, exchanging, staking, and receiving cryptocurrency.

The Polium One announcement was later met with a wave of scepticism and criticism from gamers and industry writers, with many doubting it would be posted. Some pointed out that their logo looks like an upside-down version of the GameCube logo.

The company responded on Twitter: “We didn't copy Nintendo's GameCube logo. Multiple companies use a similar logo. But we will show a new, original logo.”

The announcement comes as crypto research firm Chainalysis (via The Keeper) announced that NFT sales rose from $12.6 billion in January to just over $1 billion in June. Polium One console - The crashing market is linked to a slump in the broader global cryptocurrency market, which fell from nearly $3 trillion to just under $1 trillion in November. 

Polium stated, that the Polium One will be released sometime in 2024 and they are seeking gamers who would like to back the project by donating, in turn, gamers who donate to the project will receive the limited edition Polium One pre release at a discounted price.

Polium will also release an NFT dedicated to the Polium One NFT Game Console which will be on sale soon.
